Why a private car

Why book a car service for Miami airport?

A Miami airport car service takes the chaos out of ground transportation at one of the busiest airports in the country. Travelers who rely on taxis or ride apps often end up with long lines, demand pricing and drivers who don’t know the terminal layout. A professional chauffeur handles every detail from the curb to your destination instead.

Miami International Airport welcomed more than 55 million passengers in 2025, and that volume means real bottlenecks at taxi stands and ride-app pickup zones. A private car service at Miami airport skips those queues altogether: your chauffeur knows which terminal you land at, follows your flight and is ready when you are: just call or text when you have your bags.

What does a meet-and-greet service include?

Choose Meet at Baggage Claim when you book and your chauffeur waits at your baggage belt with a sign showing your name, helps with your luggage and walks you to the car; if you clear customs at MIA, they meet you at your international arrivals exit instead. It costs the same as curbside pickup. For a personal greeter at the gate, add our VIP meet and greet service.

How does flight tracking prevent missed pickups?

Your flight number lets our dispatch team follow the flight’s real status. If you land early or late, your chauffeur works to your actual arrival, and your free waiting time starts from the actual landing, so a late flight never costs extra.

Door-to-door service also solves two of the biggest headaches in air travel: airport parking and rental cars. MIA’s garages fill up in peak season, and picking up a rental means a ride on the MIA Mover to the Rental Car Center and a line at the counter before you even leave airport property. A Miami airport limo service skips all of that and takes you straight to your hotel, home or meeting, with no stops in between.

For cruise passengers, a Miami airport transfer to the cruise port turns a multi-leg trip into one easy ride: the chauffeur loads your luggage once and drives straight to your terminal at PortMiami. Groups stay together too, in an SUV or a Sprinter van instead of a convoy of taxis once the bags outgrow a standard sedan.

And fixed-rate pricing gives the kind of certainty ride apps can’t. Your fare is quoted and locked when you book, so traffic and the time of day don’t change it, and free waiting time gives you room to deplane, collect your bags and meet your chauffeur without rushing.

How it works

How does Miami airport private transportation work?

Miami airport private transportation works through a simple booking process backed by professional chauffeur service. Reserve online, see your fixed price before you pay, and meet your driver at the airport for a direct ride to your destination, with no sharing with strangers.

  1. Step 1: Book online in minutes

Pick the date, time and vehicle that fit your group and luggage. No account needed: add your name, email and phone, see your fixed price, then pay securely. Confirmation arrives by email and SMS.

  2. Step 2: Add your flight

Your flight number lets us follow your arrival. Free waiting starts from the actual landing: 30 minutes for domestic flights, 60 for international.

  3. Step 3: Meet your chauffeur

On domestic flights, choose curbside pickup on level 1 or a name-sign meet at your baggage belt, at the same price. If you clear customs at MIA, we meet you at your international arrivals exit. Once your chauffeur is assigned, we text you their name and mobile number.

  4. Step 4: Ride direct

Your chauffeur loads the luggage and drives you straight to your hotel, home, office or cruise terminal. The vehicle is yours alone: no shared rides, no extra stops.

What happens after booking a Miami airport transfer?

Your chauffeur follows your flight, so whether the plane lands early or late, the pickup works around your actual arrival, and your free waiting time only starts when you land. Rides booked less than 12 hours ahead are checked by our dispatch team first, usually within a few minutes, and your card is only charged once the ride is accepted; if we can’t take it, the hold is released.

Which airports does private car service cover in Miami?

Service doesn’t stop at Miami International Airport. We also cover Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, a gateway for private and corporate aviation about 20 minutes from MIA, plus Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International and Fort Lauderdale Executive. The same booking and flight tracking apply at each, and at private terminals your chauffeur coordinates with the FBO to meet you planeside or in the lobby.

Meeting points

Where do I meet my driver at the airport?

It depends on where you land. On domestic flights, and on flights that clear US customs before departure (from Canada or the Bahamas, for example), we meet you at the curb or at your baggage carousel. If you clear customs at MIA, you collect your bags first, so we meet you at your international arrivals exit. These are the spots, photographed by our team.

How does pricing work for Miami airport car service?

Your fare depends on the route distance and the vehicle you choose. • Tolls and fees

In every sedan, SUV and Sprinter

How does vehicle choice affect a Miami airport transfer?

The right vehicle shapes comfort, timing and cost. A sedan gives a discreet, efficient ride for one or two passengers, an SUV adds luggage room without losing any elegance, and a Sprinter keeps a bigger party together with all its bags. Get it wrong and you’re squeezing suitcases onto laps; get it right and the Miami airport transfer feels like part of the trip.

What is the best vehicle for a Miami airport limo service?

It comes down to group size and occasion. A Luxury Sedan suits an executive heading to a Brickell meeting, First Class adds the best rear seat of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the Luxury SUV fits families and couples with luggage, which is why it is our most booked vehicle at MIA. For a stretch-limo or Rolls-Royce arrival, book the limousine or Rolls-Royce Ghost by the hour.

Can a Miami airport private transportation vehicle handle cruise port transfers?

Yes. A sedan or SUV works for a couple with cruise luggage, while a Luxury Sprinter carries up to 14 passengers with 14 bags, so the whole group goes from baggage claim to the ship together. One reservation covers the entire party from MIA to PortMiami, with no one split across taxis or ride shares.

Cruise transfers

What is the best Miami airport transfer to cruise port?

A private Miami airport transfer to the cruise port is the most direct, reliable way from your flight to your ship. PortMiami sits about 9 miles from Miami International Airport, according to MIA, and that short distance is exactly why a chauffeured car is the fastest way there: it leaves as soon as your luggage is loaded.

What is the difference between shared shuttles and private transfers?

Transfers bought from a cruise line leave from MIA’s bus stations at Concourse D (level 1, Door 1) and Concourse J (level 1, Door 33). Those shared coaches run on set schedules for many parties, so you leave when the bus does, not when you’re ready, and wait while everyone’s luggage is loaded. A private car service at Miami airport goes door to door, from the terminal straight to the cruise port, with your chauffeur handling the luggage. If you booked the cruise line’s transfer, check its instructions for the latest pickup point.

How long does the drive from Miami airport to PortMiami take?

Usually 15 to 30 minutes for the 9 miles, depending on traffic on the Dolphin Expressway and Port Boulevard. When you book a PortMiami drop-off, choose your cruise line (Carnival, Celebrity, MSC, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages and more) and your chauffeur takes you to the right terminal. Sailing from Fort Lauderdale instead? Port Everglades is about 28 miles from MIA, $166 in a Luxury SUV.

Feature Cruise-line shuttle Private car service

Schedule Fixed departure times, shared with other passengers Leaves as soon as your bags are loaded
Luggage You manage it to the bus Your chauffeur loads every bag
Drop-off Your ship’s terminal Your ship’s terminal, or a hotel stop first

Your chauffeur meets you at the arrivals curb, at your baggage belt or, if you clear customs at MIA, at your international arrivals exit, loads the luggage, and you ride straight to the ship: no shared bus, no wrangling heavy bags through the terminal. More on cruise port transportation

Groups & corporate

Can I book Miami airport limo service for groups?

Yes, group bookings for Miami airport limo service are standard practice. One reservation for everyone arriving on the same flight replaces the scramble for separate rides, and a single point of contact keeps every guest accounted for, whether it’s a corporate team, a wedding party or a family reunion. Booking one vehicle for the whole party also keeps the cost predictable, instead of multiplying taxi meters.

What vehicle options exist for a group Miami airport transfer?

Sprinter vans carry most groups: the Executive Sprinter seats 12 in a business-class cabin, and the Luxury Sprinter takes 14 passengers with 14 bags. For 15 or more, a 54-passenger motor coach (booked by phone) or a mix of vehicles moves everyone at once. Sedans and SUVs remain available for smaller executive groups.

How does a group car service at Miami airport handle arrivals?

One booking covers every passenger on the flight. Your chauffeur follows the inbound flight, and with Meet at Baggage Claim your guests find a name sign at the belt instead of navigating the airport’s ground transportation on their own. Our guide to traveling in luxury with groups covers the rest, from touchdown to the final drop-off.

Which vehicle for your group
Passengers Recommended vehicle Luggage Best for
1–2 Luxury Sedan or First Class (S-Class) 3 bags Executives, couples
3–6 Luxury SUV 6 bags Families, small business teams
7–12 Executive Sprinter 6 bags Corporate teams with carry-ons

From our dispatch log

When a European airline cancelled a late-night departure from MIA, we had 3 motor coaches, 2 Sprinter vans and 10 SUVs lined up within an hour, moved more than 300 stranded passengers to hotels and homes, and had every one back at the airport by 11 AM.

Coverage

What areas does Miami airport car service cover?

A Miami airport car service reaches far beyond the terminal curb. We connect Miami International Airport with hotels, cruise ports, business districts and private aviation across the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area, with door-to-door service the whole way.

What destinations beyond the airport does the service reach?

Does the service cover private and executive airports?

Yes. We run dedicated car service at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport and Fort Lauderdale Executive, South Florida’s gateways for private and corporate aviation. Business travelers and private jet passengers skip the congestion of the big terminals while keeping the same professional, punctual service: your chauffeur coordinates with the FBO and meets you planeside or in the lobby. Every booking, at every airport, comes with a fixed fare, flight tracking and free waiting time.

Choosing a provider

How to choose a Miami airport car service provider?

Choosing a Miami airport car service worth trusting comes down to track record, fleet range and pricing you can see up front. Here is what to look for, and how we measure up.

  • A track record you can check

A provider that has been around for decades brings local route knowledge newer companies don’t have yet. Our first ride left in 1991, and we have sharpened our airport operation through countless MIA runs and special events since.

  • What fleet options matter for a Miami airport transfer?

Several vehicle classes, so the vehicle matches the group and the occasion: nobody squeezes into an undersized car or pays for seats that stay empty. We run sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans and motor coaches.

  • Why do flight tracking and wait time matter?

Flight delays wreck rigid pickup schedules. We follow your flight and count free waiting time from the actual landing, so a late plane doesn’t cost you your ride or a penalty fee.

  • Pricing you see before you pay

Flat-rate pricing is where a professional car service at Miami airport differs most from ride-hailing apps. You see a fixed fare, tolls and fees included, before you pay, plus a free cancellation window for every vehicle.

  • Help when you land

Choose a name-sign meet at your baggage belt or a curbside pickup, at the same price, so you are never hunting for a rideshare zone on a crowded curb.

  • Licensed people, around the clock

Chauffeurs with a Miami-Dade County chauffeur license and background checks, a licensed and insured company, and a dispatch line that answers 24/7.

What makes Miami Limo Car the best choice?

We have been driving Miami since 1991, and airport transfers are at the heart of what we do. That focus shows in the details: your flight is tracked, your waiting time is free, your fare is fixed before you pay, and a meet-and-greet at baggage claim costs nothing extra. Whether it is one VIP traveler or a planeload of stranded passengers in the middle of the night, our dispatch team is ready to respond.

Booking & prices

How do I book a Miami airport car service?

Enter Miami International Airport, your destination, the date and the time in the booking form on this page. No account is needed: your fixed price appears once you add your name, email and phone, before you pay, and your confirmation arrives by email and SMS. Prefer to talk? How much does private airport transportation cost?

A one-way Luxury Sedan from MIA costs about $105 to Downtown Miami, $109 to Brickell and $112 to South Beach. A Luxury SUV for up to 6 passengers costs about $119 to $128 on the same trips (prices checked October 2026). Fares are based on distance and vehicle, include tolls and fees, and are locked when you book; they are higher on a few special-event dates, such as Art Basel week. The booking form shows the exact price for your address before you pay.

Do you offer flat-rate pricing to the port?

Yes. A transfer from MIA to the PortMiami cruise terminals is a fixed fare: about $108 in a Luxury Sedan, $122 in a Luxury SUV and $221 in a 14-passenger Luxury Sprinter (October 2026). Port Everglades, about 28 miles away, is about $166 in a Luxury SUV. The price is locked when you book, so traffic doesn't change it. Fares are higher on a few special-event dates, such as Art Basel week.

Cruise port transportation
Can I schedule a luxury ride in advance?

Yes, as far ahead as you like. For pickups more than 14 days away you can reserve without paying today: your quoted price is locked in and payment is finalized closer to your trip.

How early should I book my airport transfer?

As early as you can for holidays and big event weekends. Otherwise the Luxury Sedan, Luxury SUV and Luxury Sprinter can be booked even for right now, First Class and the Executive Sprinter need 2 hours’ notice, and a motor coach needs 24 hours. Rides booked less than 12 hours ahead are checked by our dispatch team first, usually within a few minutes; if we can’t take the ride, the hold on your card is released. For a pickup within the next hour, calling +1 305-699-6919 is fastest.

What payment methods are accepted online?

Credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, through Stripe’s secure checkout, in US dollars. The full fare is charged when you book. For rides within 12 hours your card is only authorized until dispatch accepts the ride, and pickups more than 14 days out can be reserved with no payment today.

Can I book a round-trip airport transfer online?

Online booking handles one direction at a time, so book your arrival and your departure as two one-way rides; each gets its own fixed price and confirmation. To set up both legs in one go, call or WhatsApp +1 305-699-6919 and dispatch will arrange them for you.

Can I get a receipt for my business travel?

Yes. Your confirmation email shows the total paid and the card used, and we can send an itemized PDF invoice with your company name on request. Email contact@miamilimocar.com with your booking reference.

At the airport

Where do I meet my driver at the airport?

You choose when you book. With Curbside Pickup, your chauffeur picks you up at the arrivals curb on level 1 once you have your bags: call or text them when you are ready. With Meet at Baggage Claim, your chauffeur waits at your baggage belt holding a sign with your name. Both options cost the same. If you clear US customs at MIA, you collect your bags before customs, so we meet you at your international arrivals exit instead: level 1 for Concourses D and E, and J International Arrivals on level 3 of the South Terminal for Concourse J. Flights that clear customs before departure, such as from Canada or the Bahamas, arrive like domestic flights.

How do I find my Miami Limo Car?

Once your chauffeur is assigned, we text you their name and mobile number, and they contact you as they approach the pickup. At MIA, call or text your chauffeur when you have your bags; if you chose Meet at Baggage Claim, look for your name sign at the belt, or at your international arrivals exit if you clear customs at MIA. If anything goes wrong, our dispatch line +1 305-699-6919 answers 24/7.

What does a meet-and-greet service include?

Pick Meet at Baggage Claim when you book: your chauffeur holds a name sign at your belt (or at your international arrivals exit if you clear customs at MIA), takes your bags and walks you to the car, at no extra cost. For a personal greeter who meets you at the gate, add our VIP meet and greet service.

VIP meet and greet at MIA
Are your drivers tracking real-time flight arrivals?

Yes. Add your flight number when you book and our dispatch team monitors your arrival, so your chauffeur works to your actual landing time rather than the time printed on your ticket.

How is flight monitoring handled for delayed arrivals?

If your flight is late, you don’t need to call us: dispatch follows the new arrival time, and your free waiting time starts when the plane actually lands, so a late flight never costs extra. If you land early, call or text your chauffeur once you have your bags.

How long will my chauffeur wait for free?

Free waiting starts when your flight actually lands: 30 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights, which leaves time for immigration and customs. Waiting beyond that may be charged.

Do you provide luggage assistance during pickup?

Yes. Your chauffeur loads and unloads every bag, and with Meet at Baggage Claim they help you from the belt, or from the international arrivals exit, to the car. Tell us how many bags you have when you book so we match the vehicle: a Luxury SUV takes 6 suitcases and a Luxury Sprinter takes 14.

How much is the shuttle service from Miami International Airport to the car rental area?

It’s free. The MIA Mover, the airport’s automated train to the Rental Car Center, costs nothing; board it on level 3 for a ride of a few minutes. A rental then adds the daily rate, fuel, tolls and parking at your hotel, which is why many visitors book a chauffeur instead.

Do you service other airports in the area?

Yes. Besides MIA we serve Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL), Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE) and Miami-Opa Locka Executive (OPF). At private aviation terminals your chauffeur coordinates with the FBO and meets you planeside or in the lobby, as the FBO directs.

For airport transfers: the Luxury Sedan and the First Class Mercedes-Benz S-Class for up to 2 passengers, the Luxury SUV (a Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban) for up to 6, the Executive Sprinter for 12 and the Luxury Sprinter for 14. Can I hire an SUV for family travel?

What is the maximum passenger capacity for SUVs?

Up to 6 passengers and 6 suitcases in a Luxury SUV. For 7 to 14 passengers, or a lot of luggage, book a Sprinter van: the Luxury Sprinter carries 14 passengers and 14 bags.

Can I request a specific luxury sedan model?

Bookings are made by vehicle class, so a particular model isn’t guaranteed. If you want a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, book First Class, which is always an S-Class. For any other model, call +1 305-699-6919 before booking and we will confirm what’s available on your date.

What amenities are included in your limousines?

Policies & support

What is the cancellation policy for airport transfers?

It depends on the vehicle. Luxury Sedan and Luxury SUV rides can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 hours before pickup, First Class up to 24 hours before, and Sprinter vans up to 72 hours before. Inside that window 50% of the fare is charged, and no-shows are not refunded. The policy for your vehicle is shown with your quote before you book.

How do I modify my existing reservation details?

Call or WhatsApp +1 305-699-6919, or email contact@miamilimocar.com, with your booking reference and the change you need. Our dispatch team updates pickup times, addresses, passengers and flight details for you.

Are your luxury vehicles available twenty-four hours daily?

Yes. We run airport transfers 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including red-eye arrivals and early-morning departures, and you can book online at any hour.

Are your chauffeurs licensed and professionally trained?

Yes. Our chauffeurs hold a Miami-Dade County chauffeur license, have completed chauffeur training and are background-checked. Miami Limo Car is a licensed and insured for-hire operator.

Do you offer corporate airport transportation services?

Yes. Executives ride in a Luxury Sedan or a First Class Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and teams use the Executive Sprinter as a 12-seat meeting room on wheels. Choose Business when you enter your details to add your company name, and ask for an itemized invoice after the trip.
